Responsibilities
- Install, diagnose and repair units using a variety of hand tools, following blueprints, wiring and piping diagrams, or engineering specifications.
- Operate refrigerant recovery equipment, vacuum pumps, charging equipment and service gauges.
- Possess excellent troubleshooting skills to component level.
- Inspect system to verify system compliance with plans and specifications.
- Complete routine maintenance and operation of HVAC systems and any other related equipment, which contributes to the safe and effective operation of facilities.
- Maintain quality of work, performance and productivity standards.
- Perform repairs, overhauls, and start-ups of commercial HVAC systems.
- Record temperature, pressure, and other readings on log sheet at specified intervals.
- Document work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
- May be required to work varying schedules and shifts to reflect the business needs of the Company.
Qualifications
- A high school diploma or GED required; technical training or certification in HVAC preferred.
- EPA Certified.
- 7 to 10 years of Commercial/Industrial HVAC service experience (preferred).
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift 50+ lbs. and work in various environmental conditions.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent customer service and communication abilities.
- May be required to work varying schedules and shifts to reflect the business needs of the Company.
- Building controls – ATC Temperature Electronic and Pneumatic controls.
Physical Demands
- Frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing, standing, walking, reaching, and gripping.
- Lifting from floor level to overhead.
