Responsibilities
- Represents the company by serving as a direct customer contact.
- Projects a positive, friendly, and professional image on behalf of the organization.
- Servicing all products and equipment on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Diagnosing and repairing units using a variety of hand-tools, following blueprints or engineering specifications.
- Performing preventative maintenance, site surveys, replacement, and modifications as needed or requested by customers.
- Preparing for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials, and coordinating on-site work.
- Maintaining literature, supplies, service manuals, and related service bulletins.
- Maintaining vehicles by keeping records of service manuals, scheduling, and complete repairs and maintenance service.
- Inspecting vehicles by checking their condition.
- Legibly documenting work by completing paperwork on each job and maintaining files.
- Providing re-training and follow-up training at customer sites.
- Demonstrating enthusiasm and commitment toward the job, mission, and values of the company.
- Determining parts to order for repairs and the timeliness of need.
- Documenting work by completing paperwork on each job, including daily time, progress, and duration; and maintaining files.
- Keeping a safe and organized work environment.
- Operating all company-owned equipment safely and responsibly.
- Recording parts, material, labor, subs, and other cost data per assignment and returning unused resources.
- Turning in all required paperwork and reports daily.
- Reading and interpreting product specifications and experience in working with building specifications, drawings, and designs.
- Providing technical support to customers.
- Flexibility to work overtime/weekends as necessary.
- Regular travel requirements with some overnight travel.
Qualifications/ Certificates, Licenses, Registrations
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent from a Technical/Trade School with a certificate in Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning and eight (8) years related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Valid Driver’s License with a clean driving record for state of residence.
- EPA Certification.
- HVAC Journeyman license in MD/or Virginia required.
- Additional license; Boiler Operator, Gas Installer, etc. preferred.
- Applicant must be a current member or be able to successfully join UA Local 602.
