About the role

We are seeking a skilled and reliable HVAC Service/Sales Technician to diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems for residential clients. The ideal candidate will consult with clients on system options and provide excellent customer service while ensuring all work meets safety and industry standards.

Responsibilities

  • Consult with clients on their indoor air, heating, cooling, and ventilation systems, providing good, better, best replacement options.
  • Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues in HVAC systems.
  • Perform routine maintenance, including cleaning, filter replacements, and system tune-ups.
  • Ensure all work meets safety and industry regulations.
  • Maintain accurate service records and document recommendations and repairs.
  • Provide excellent customer service and communicate effectively with clients about system performance, issues, and solutions.
  • Work independently and as part of a team to complete assigned jobs efficiently.
  • Stay up to date with industry advancements and best practices.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Technical school or HVAC certification preferred).
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in HVAC maintenance, service, and repair.
  • EPA certification and Journeyman's license (a plus).
  • Knowledge of HVAC systems, electrical components, and refrigerants.
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in various weather conditions and lift heavy equipment (up to 50 pounds).
  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills.

Pay

Base pay range: $25–$35 USD per hour. Uncapped commission potential with top earners making $80,000–$140,000+ annually.

Work Environment

Works in field environments across residential job sites, including climbing ladders, navigating uneven surfaces, and working in confined spaces. Regularly moves materials up to 50 pounds and operates hand and power tools and vehicles. Must be able to see, hear, and exchange accurate information with customers and team members. Regular exposure to outdoor weather, noise, and dust. Reasonable accommodations may be made to perform essential functions.
