Lennox National Account Services (NAS), wholly owned by Lennox International, a 120+ year old company and a world leader in the Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning (HVAC) industry. NAS is a major, national player in the Commercial HVAC maintenance and service industry with 100+ offices throughout the continental United States. We are expanding, aiming to double the number of branch offices and significantly increase annual revenue over the next five years.

About the Role

This is an entry-level opportunity for individuals looking to jump-start their career in the HVAC industry. As a technician, you will perform field activities supporting the installation, maintenance, and servicing of heating, ventilating, and air conditioning systems for commercial customers.

Responsibilities

• Assist with on-site preventative maintenance, routine repair, and calibration after installation.
• Use technical abilities to maintain HVAC systems.
• Work in a team-based environment to share information and workload while ensuring customer satisfaction.
• Work safely on a daily basis and ensure all safety measures are followed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Flexibility to work overtime and weekends as required.
• Complete repairs and required paperwork.

Requirements

• High School diploma or GED equivalent.
• HVAC Trade school graduate strongly preferred (3.5 GPA and excellent attendance).
• 1+ years in a mechanical support role; some hands-on HVAC experience preferred.
• EPA Certification – Type I & Type II or Universal (preferred).
• NATE certification (a plus).
• Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record.
• Ability to climb ladders and perform moderate lifting (up to 90 pounds).
• Technical aptitude to perform maintenance, service, and troubleshoot equipment.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Good electrical and mechanical diagnostic skills.
• Ability to work independently and self-schedule.
• Self-motivated to complete assigned tasks within time constraints.
• Driven to succeed and able to work with minimum supervision.
• Availability for occasional weekend and night work.
• Willingness to relocate to another part of the country once training is completed.
• Local travel may be required.

Physical Requirements

• Install, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on commercial, rooftop HVAC units, often independently.
• Access rooftops via fixed/extension ladders with tools and equipment.
• Work at heights.
• Load and unload tools/equipment from work van.
• Lift up to 75 lbs occasionally.
• Lift to shoulder and overhead up to 25 lbs occasionally.
• Push/pull wheeled cart up to 150 lbs.
• Climb ladders up to roof height.
• Extend reach overhead in a repetitive motion.
• Manual tandem lifting up to 125 lbs.

Pay

The salary range for this hourly non-exempt role is between $35,000 – $50,000 annually. Factors affecting starting salary include geography/market, tenure, performance, skills, education, experience, and other qualifications. Overtime is paid for hours worked beyond 40 in a week (or as required by state law).
