HVAC Senior Technician
About the role
The City of Chandler Building and Facilities Department seeks a skilled HVAC Senior Technician to join their team. The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, including 2 years of experience working on large tonnage chilled water systems. The ideal candidate must also possess an EPA & Arizona State Refrigerant Certification and a Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification. Additionally, a valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record is required.
Responsibilities
- Perform preventative maintenance, repair, and installation of a wide variety of heating, cooling, refrigeration, air filtration, and ventilation systems.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure efficient operation of facilities.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and standards.
- Document all work performed and maintain accurate records.
- Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external clients.
Requirements
- A High School Diploma or GED.
- 5 years of experience equivalent to a technicians certificate in an HVAC specialized field or a 4-year approved HVAC apprenticeship program.
- 5 years of experience in HVAC maintenance and repair, including 2 years of working on large tonnage chilled water systems.
- An EPA & Arizona State Refrigerant Certification upon hire or promotion.
- A Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response Certification within 1 year of hire or promotion.
- A valid Driver's License with an acceptable driving record.

Pay
Salary range: $50,000 - $60,000 annually. Final salary will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
Schedule
The regular work schedule is Monday through Friday, 40 hours per week, consisting of five 8-hour shifts.
