Responsibilities
- Install, maintain, and repair heating, ventilation, and cooling units for both commercial and industrial customers.
- Diagnose and repair of electronic, mechanical, and electrical components of these systems.
- Interpret blueprints and schematics, determine the optimal location for installation, and ensure the system meets the project specifications and building codes.
- Conduct regular preventative maintenance inspections of refrigeration units, isolated heating and ventilating units, including boilers, gas and electrically operated air conditioning equipment, and make necessary adjustments or repairs; service and repair evaporative coolers.
- Troubleshoot and repair HVAC and refrigeration systems, including chillers, boilers, and screw chillers, ensuring they operate at maximum efficiency.
- Ensure the safe and efficient operation of all HVAC equipment, adhering to all safety protocols and procedures.
- Communicate with clients, providing advice on necessary repairs and preventative maintenance, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Keep records of all work activities, including all procurement of parts and equipment necessary for the tasks.
Qualifications
- A minimum of 10 years of experience as an HVAC Technician in the construction industry, specifically with commercial HVAC systems.
- EPA Certification as an HVAC Technician.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with preventative maintenance, chillers and boilers, screw chillers, and troubleshooting.
- Strong understanding of HVAC operations, including knowledge of latest HVAC systems and technological trends.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate technical information to non-technical clients.
- Ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
- Physical stamina and dexterity to carry heavy equipment and work in confined spaces.
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Pay
$45.4 - $55 per hour
