Meyer Distributing is looking for a Sales Account Manager - HVAC to join their Jasper team. Meyer Distributing is a comprehensive wholesale distributor serving automotive, RV/towing, outdoor living, marine, and more. With 85+ locations across the country, Meyer services dealers nationwide. Meyer Logistics supports this network with a fleet of 500+ top-of-the-line trucks.
About the role
The Sales Account Manager - HVAC is responsible for all inside sales functions, including inbound/outbound telephone calls and the processing of sales documents. This position represents Meyer and its interests with the highest regard for customer satisfaction in a professional manner.
Preferred Experience
- Experience: HVAC experience required
- Entry-level salespeople with HVAC experience and solid customer service experience encouraged to apply
Requirements
- Solid background in HVAC industry
- Excellent verbal and written communication and telephone skills
- Able to communicate on the phone 90% or more of shift
- Understands customer's current needs and anticipates future requirements
- Able to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Able to give special attention to detail
- Able to prioritize workload to meet deadlines
- Planning/organizing and follow-up skills
- Extensive use of a computer; experience with Microsoft preferred
- Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

Duties
- Handles a high volume of telephone calls per day, working with existing and new potential customers, taking orders, and closing sales
- Sources new sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls
- Processes all calls with efficiency and accuracy. Keeps digital notes of all telephone communications. Verifies orders before processing into the computer system
- Ensures that accounts are serviced and maintained in accordance with Company standards
- Recognizes customers' buying patterns and promotes possible new product lines
- Contact key accounts regularly. Routinely contacts prospects to continue building sales and new customers
- Develops and maintains professional relations with customers
- Investigates and resolves all customer issues professionally and reasonably, resulting in conclusions acceptable for both Company and customer
- Maintains and meets or exceeds sales goals
- Stays current on product knowledge and trends
- Some travel possible as directed by supervisor
