The Role

About the Role

HII’s Newport News Shipbuilding division is seeking an HVAC Repair Technician to join their team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HVAC systems and possess excellent problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

As an HVAC Repair Technician, you will be responsible for:

• Diagnosing and repairing HVAC systems
• Installing new HVAC equipment
• Performing routine maintenance checks
• Responding to emergency repairs
• Documenting all work performed

Requirements

Requirements for this position include:

• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
• Must be able to work in various weather conditions
• Must be able to work overtime as needed
• Must be able to work weekends and holidays

Qualifications

Qualifications for this position include:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver's license
• At least 2 years of experience in HVAC repair
• Knowledge of HVAC systems and components
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics

Pay

The anticipated salary range for this role is $57,283.20 to $85,196.80. Final compensation will be determined based on experience, qualifications, and other job-related factors, and may vary from the posted range.

Schedule

Shifts are multiple and may include weekends and holidays.
