HVAC Technician

Responsibilities
- Maintain and repair air handling units, exhaust fans, fume hoods, fan coil units, reheat coils, and other associated mechanical equipment.
- Troubleshoot customer service calls for temperature control inside buildings.
- Partner with subject matter experts (SME) & Reliability Services to resolve operational issues.
- Support various operations at the BMS Devens campus including Biologics Large Scale Commercial Manufacturing, Biologics Clinical Manufacturing, Biologics Cell Bank Manufacturing, CAR-T (Cell Therapy) Manufacturing, and Development and Laboratory operations.
- Manage and analyze system data to recommend maintenance changes, upgrades, replacements, etc.
- Perform preventive maintenance on all base building and critical HVAC system equipment.
- Ensure proper operation of equipment and make adjustments as needed.
- Monitor and adjust refrigeration, heat exchanger, HVAC, hot water systems, floor radiant heating systems, chilled water, and air conditioning equipment.
- Document all repairs and changes to the system in a central resource location.
- Manage tools and supplies, report equipment problems, and ensure compliance with safety protocols.
Requirements
- High School diploma, state equivalent, or GED equivalent.
- 2+ years of related trade schooling or equivalent experience, preferred.
- Boiler License or EPA certification, a plus.
- Knowledge of OSHA standards and local codes.
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively.
- Familiarity with computer equipment and programs.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and operate electric hand tools.
- Ability to work in close quarters and on roofs.
- Demonstrated ability to manage across functional lines and deliver results in a matrix organization.
Qualifications

Pay
Devens - MA - US: $39.01 - $47.28 per hour. The starting compensation range(s) for this role are listed above for a full-time employee (FTE) basis. Additional incentive cash and stock opportunities (based on eligibility) may be available.
Schedule
The role requires availability for call-in work and may involve some overtime. The technician will support various operations at the BMS Devens campus, including Biologics Large Scale Commercial Manufacturing, Biologics Clinical Manufacturing, Biologics Cell Bank Manufacturing, CAR-T (Cell Therapy) Manufacturing, and Development and Laboratory operations.
