This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, focusing on maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment for complex commercial HVAC systems through proactive performance testing and ongoing scheduled maintenance.
Responsibilities
- Assign tasks to team members and ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
- Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your job discipline, as well as broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, working to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies, and explain difficult or sensitive information.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Refrigeration License or Universal 608 Certification is required.
- Commercial real estate equipment maintenance and experience is required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay
The minimum salary for this role is $75,000 annually (or $33.65 hourly), and the maximum salary is $90,000 annually (or $43.29 hourly). Compensation will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Schedule
All schedules are available, including daytime, evening, and night shifts. Some overtime may be required, as well as being "on call" for emergencies. Days and shifts will be determined based on the needs of the team.
