This role is part of the Engineering and Technical Services job function, providing support, preventive maintenance, and repairs on commercial HVAC equipment and systems for a large manufacturing facility.
Responsibilities
- Assign tasks to team members and ensure all duties are completed in a timely manner.
- Install, repair, adjust, service, and maintain electric or pneumatic control systems for building heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration systems, including calibration of related instruments, gauges, and control components.
- Inspect and conduct ongoing maintenance on building HVAC equipment to ensure proper operation and compliance with all applicable codes, regulations, and work safety standards.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and identify the best course of action for equipment modifications.
- Apply in-depth knowledge of standard principles and procedures to accomplish complex assignments and provide innovative solutions.
- Coach others and share in-depth knowledge of your job discipline and broad knowledge of several job disciplines within the function.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, working to build consensus and convince others to reach an agreement.
- Impact a range of customer, operational, project, or service activities within your team and other related teams.
- Work within broad guidelines and policies, explaining difficult or sensitive information as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 4-5 years of job-related experience. In lieu of a diploma, a combination of experience and education will be considered.
- Prior shift manager or supervisory experience preferred.
- Refrigeration License or Universal 608 Certification is preferred.
- Commercial real estate equipment maintenance experience is required.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role, including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs, and the ability to carry heavy loads of 50 lbs. or more.
- Ability to exercise judgment based on the analysis of multiple sources of information.
- Willingness to take a new perspective on existing solutions.
- In-depth knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with an advanced inquisitive mindset.
- Sophisticated math skills, including the ability to calculate percentages, fractions, and other financial-related calculations.
- Must be currently authorized to work in the United States without the need for visa sponsorship now or in the future.

Pay
The minimum salary for this role is $65,000 annually (or $31.25 hourly), and the maximum salary is $84,000 annually (or $40.38 hourly). Compensation will depend on skills, qualifications, and experience.
Schedule
- All schedules available, including daytime, evening, and night shifts.
- Some overtime may be required, as well as “on call” for emergencies.
- Days and shifts will be determined based on the needs of the team.
