HVAC/R Mechanic

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Performs maintenance and service repairs on building mechanical and HVAC systems
• Installs new units or replacement parts for existing units according to specifications and established safety guidelines
• Operates, maintains, and adjusts all building equipment including boilers, turbines, pumps, HVAC units, walk-in refrigeration and freezer equipment, lighting, and power equipment
• Maintains Preventative Maintenance
• Maintains accurate and timely paperwork
• Relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals
• Fulfills safety practices and adheres to all safety related policies
• Responds to emergency calls
• Demonstrates initiative in assignments and maintains positive customer relations
• Performs a variety of complicated tasks

Position Requirements

• CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT: Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust
• Certification Requirement: CFC certification Journeyman HVAC or MD 1ST desired
• Required Qualifications: 5+ years’ experience in maintenance and repairs on commercial-industrial building equipment include but not limited to: Chillers =/+ 500 tons, pumps, controls, air handlers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, VAV's, VFD's, walk-in coolers/freezers, and refrigeration systems
• Be able to demonstrate the ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics and specifications
• Be able to demonstrate practical knowledge of Building Air Systems

Physical Requirements

• Physical requirements may include, but are not limited to, lifting, ascending, and descending stairs, climbing

Pay

The pay for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience.

Schedule

The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with some weekend work as needed.
