HVAC Journeyman - Chillers - Sign-On Bonus Eligible!

About the role

This role is eligible for a potential sign-on bonus and offers comprehensive training through various programs.

Responsibilities

  • Service of equipment including inspecting and testing systems to verify functionality
  • Repair and replace defective equipment, components, or wiring
  • Maintain and inspect equipment to identify potential problems
  • Perform intermediate and advanced independent diagnostics, troubleshooting, pipefitting, and brazing of commercial HVAC equipment
  • Lead and participate in the rebuild and retrofit of commercial HVAC level units
  • Conduct warranty service application by independently inspecting and testing systems
  • Provide technical and non-technical customers with proper use of equipment, maintenance schedule, and operating manual usage
  • Record and report billing, inventory, timecards, technician tip reports, and other articles as required
  • Download programs into commercial HVAC equipment and Micro controllers and analyze chiller trend data
  • Participate in available training through regional technician trainers and off-site learning modules
  • Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are always upheld
  • Complete jobsite hazard assessment prior to initiating service and adhere to safety policies and OSHA guidelines

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Associates Degree or technical school HVAC certification (preferred)
  • 5+ years of related experience with increasing responsibility or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Accepted as Journeyman by the union
  • Valid Driver’s License and acceptable driving record
  • Required license(s) and/or training card as required by local law district
  • Rotational Emergency Call Support availability as required
  • Previous experience in mentoring less experienced technicians
  • EPA approved Universal Technician Certification (preferred)
  • OSHA 10 certification (preferred)
  • Current first aid / CPR card (preferred)
