HVAC Truck Based Chiller Mechanic (un) - Sign-on Bonus

What You Will Do

Johnson Controls Inc. is seeking skilled HVAC Technicians to support the growth of their HVAC business in North America. This position will be based in approximately a 100-mile radius from Fort Myers, covering Manatee County to Collier County. The ideal candidate will have experience with residential and ducted products, air cooled and water-cooled chillers, AHU’s, or roof-top ducted units.

Required

• Able to repair centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and system components.
• Minimum of three (3) years of practical working experience on ducted products, air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, AHU’s, or roof-top ducted units with strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience.
• Must be a member or willing to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO.
• Willing to enroll in training programs and JCI’s Service Technical Academy (STA) to gain knowledge in HVAC products and sales quoting.
• Able to travel up to 20% to support branch customers' startup and commissioning activities as well as aftermarket service troubleshooting.
• Able to pass the required knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.
• Able to write and communicate effectively about customer issues, causes, and corrective actions.
• Able to provide quotes to customers and participate in JCI’s Service Plus Rewards program.
• Able to prioritize safety in all forms.

Preferred

• Aaon certification is a plus.
• Boiler experience is a plus.

Pay & Benefits

The pay range for this role is $43.63+ hourly, determined by the Collective Bargaining Agreement (CBA) or rate sheet. Benefits are provided through a local labor union aligned with a collective bargaining agreement.
