HVAC Truck Based Chiller Mechanic (union)

Responsibilities
- Provide the highest level of service to solve facility inefficiencies and resolve service-related items.
- Act as a trusted advisor to customers, providing solutions and outcomes during commissioning and aftermarket service.
- Offer recommendations and solutions to ensure facility efficiency, including upselling opportunities.
- Prepare quotes to support recommendations and solutions.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight (8) years of practical working experience on air cooled and/or water-cooled chillers, industrial chillers, AHU’s or large roof top ducted units.
- Strong HVAC/mechanical troubleshooting experience, including repair of centrifugal compressors, steam turbines, screw chillers, and ammonia/hydrocarbon system components.
- Maintenance of ammonia and hydrocarbon safety training certification.
- Extensive experience in HVAC systems, including chilled water loops, pumping, compressor enthalpy, compressor trouble-shooting and rebuild, mechanical shaft alignment, vibration equipment usage, and compressor driveline troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in operating, trouble-shooting, and repairing large tonnage chillers, 460V VSD’s, and other related equipment.
- Pass a knowledge examination to assess proficiencies.

Qualifications
- Universal EPA refrigerants license, applicable state or local licensing, and valid driver's license.

The pay range for this role is $38.23 hourly, determined by the CBA/rate sheet. The posted salary range reflects the target compensation for this role, but exceptional candidates may bring unique skills and experiences that warrant consideration beyond the stated range.
