HVAC Install Helper- Nashville

About the role

Coolray is currently seeking HVAC Install Helpers to join a team of creative and energetic employees dedicated to providing top-notch customer service.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the installation and replacement of HVAC equipment, including ductwork, attic and/or vertical splits (gas or heat pump), rooftop package units (gas or heat pump).
• Maintain the working order of the company vehicle.
• Manage inventory, parts, tools, and safety equipment in the vehicle.
• Travel with the Lead to job sites within the service area and communicate delays to customers through dispatch.
• Engage with homeowners to discuss concerns or interests regarding their AC systems, potentially leading to accessory sales or system replacements.
• Understand and apply the company's pricing program to generate invoices and process credit card payments at the job site.
• Participate in company-provided training on customer service and industry technologies.
• Coach and mentor apprentices and entry-level installers.

Requirements

• Basic hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, nut drivers, sheet metal/duct tools, and a hammer.
• Ability to work independently and complete tasks promptly, ensuring they are done correctly the first time.
• Capability to work in confined spaces, climb ladders, and perform tasks in attics, garages, crawl spaces, and on roofs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver's license.
• Experience with HVAC systems preferred.
