HVAC General Sales Manager

About the role

Trane Technologies is a world leader in creating comfortable, sustainable, and efficient climate solutions for buildings, homes, and transportation. This role is within the Equipment and Controls revenue streams, focusing on district sales leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Customer and district sales management
  • New customer acquisition
  • Customer satisfaction measurement
  • Price management
  • Marketing
  • Maximizing account penetration and customer retention
  • Hiring and on-boarding of new sales associates
  • Continued assessment of skills and administering necessary training
  • Setting quotas
  • Accurate sales forecasting
  • Consistent use of Trane sales tools and systems
  • Annual and long-term development and delivery of financial results for all business streams (equipment, service, controls and energy services)
  • Achieving annual objectives regarding profit, volume, margins, business mix, and share
  • Promoting all Trane Systems linkage Programs: including In-Warranty-Service Agreements and when appropriate, Building Automation to Service
  • Assembling high performance teams and interacting with Account Managers with differing business development requirements, customer focus, experience, sales cycles, and product portfolios
  • Maintaining customer satisfaction by investigating concerns, implementing corrective action, and communicating with customers and sales team as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, engineering technology, business or equivalent from a four-year college or university preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Minimum five (5) years of related experience in a sales leadership role
  • Valid driver’s license, valid and in state for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years

Qualifications

  • Must have a DL NUMBER - Driver License, Valid and in State for a minimum of 12 months, with no major or frequent traffic violations included, but not limited to: DUI, Hit & Run, License Suspension, Reckless/Careless Driving or multiple smaller infractions or preventable collisions in the previous 3 years.

Skills

  • Strong sales and customer relationship management skills
  • Ability to manage and motivate a team
  • Effective communication and negotiation skills
  • Knowledge of HVAC and building automation systems
  • Experience with sales forecasting and budgeting

Pay

Annual Base Salary Range: $146,200.00 - $221,760.00

Schedule

Monday to Thursday, work onsite with your colleagues. Fridays, choose your work location, balancing what your work requires.
