HVAC Engineering Intern - Validation Test Support

About the role

HVAC Engineering Intern - Validation Test Support reporting to the Head of AC Application Engineering. You will evaluate customer specifications, establish component test plans, work with test lab technicians to run standard tests and document results, design special fixtures as needed, run airflow test equipment to evaluate HVAC module performance, support HVAC module builds to help optimize design and assembly, and support warranty analysis of returned components.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate customer specifications and establish component test plans
• Work with Test Lab Techs to run standard tests and document results
• Design special fixtures where needed to facilitate testing
• Run airflow test equipment as needed to evaluate HVAC module performance
• Support HVAC module builds as needed to help optimize design and assembly
• Support Warranty Analysis of returned components

Requirements

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Currently enrolled in Sophomore or Junior year

Skills

• Familiarity with CAD, 3D printing, and other computer‑aided tools such as CFD or FEA
• Formal problem‑solving training is helpful
