HVAC Test Technician Intern

About the role

The HVAC Test Technician Intern will work in support of HVAC development programs, technician installs, tests, calibrates, and repairs electromechanical, and electronic measuring. This can also include supporting aspects of recording and indicating instruments and equipment for conformance to established standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform laboratory testing activities in accordance with standard procedures, test requirements, and the ISO 17025 standard
• Perform scheduled instrument verification checks and periodic facility maintenance
• Set up and operate complex laboratory equipment and instruments
• Identify and report nonconformities and abnormal testing conditions
• Ensure standards, policies, procedures, and maintenance of a clean work area are upheld at all times
• Maintain a working knowledge of EH&S safety policies and regulations to ensure duties of self and others are performed in a safe manner
• Maintain effective communication with laboratory and project teams
• Create records of testing activities and document them according to laboratory procedures

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• In a Vocational or Technical Degree program
• 0-2 years of experience in HVAC

Qualifications

• Fork truck training/license, Man lift training/license, Universal card, R410a card

Skills

• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow instructions and work independently
• Good communication skills

Pay

The typical hourly rate for this position ranges from $21.35 - $33.97 in Minnesota.
