HVAC Technician Intern

About the role

As an HVAC Service Technician Intern with Trane, you will assist HVAC Technicians who serve as the primary service and maintenance contact for Trane customers in a defined market with a diverse commercial base, including Healthcare, Process Manufacturing Facilities, Education Institutions, and Office Complexes. You will help commission, troubleshoot, repair, and start up HVAC systems in a commercial environment. This role requires knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts. You will establish and maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through effective communication.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the commissioning, troubleshooting, repairing, and starting up HVAC systems in commercial environments.
• Perform scheduled and unscheduled preventative maintenance and service under the direction of an HVAC Technician.
• Utilize knowledge of air conditioning theory, pipe fitting, and mechanical layouts to complete tasks.
• Maintain positive relationships with customers, vendors, and co-workers through oral and written communication.

Schedule

This is an on-site position requiring 5 days per week.

Pay

Hourly base pay range: $18.00 - $26.00. Compensation is tailored to factors such as seniority, merit, geographic location, education, experience, travel requirements, and union designation.
