HVAC Duct Installer

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Locates and installs ductwork and other types of materials in strict accordance with the mechanical plans and specifications.
• Measures ductwork offsets, transitions, as required for a complete ductwork system.
• Reads architectural and mechanical blueprints to determine exact location and elevation of duct-work or apparatus that is to be installed.
• Assembles ductwork and fittings at the job site that is to be installed.
• Affixes to the mechanical contractor in locating and physically installing mechanical equipment, exhaust fans and curbs, vents for boilers, hot water heaters and furnaces, and all sheet metal items that the sheet metal trade has jurisdiction.
• Adhere to all company safety/OSHA rules and regulations.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 4 years’ experience in the sheet metal field.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must have good oral communication skills.

Physical Demands

• Must be able to lift at least 100 pounds frequently.
• Must be able to stand for extended periods of time.
• Must be able to climb ladders and scaffolds.
• The job requires bending, stooping, and lifting.
