Job Description
Johnson Controls Inc. is looking for forward-thinking talent to join their growing organization. Apprentices will work on HVAC mechanical equipment and controls on client sites, participate in certified training through Service Technical Academy, and develop skills to troubleshoot and resolve both technical issues and customer needs. They will also provide recommendations and solutions to ensure the facility runs efficiently and upsell opportunities.
Requirements
- Valid Driver’s License
- Willingness to travel 75–100% of the time as part of the IMPACT Fly Team
- Membership or willingness to join the United Association of Journeymen and Apprentices of the Plumbing and Pipe Fitting Industry of the United States and Canada, AFL-CIO
- 1+ years of industry experience or experience in servicing mechanical systems in the HVAC industry
- General knowledge of mechanical HVAC systems, facilities management systems, site preparation, peripheral equipment installation and servicing techniques
- Effective interpersonal skills to represent Johnson Controls ethically and professionally
- Leadership skills to support mechanics on non-complex, non-critical mechanical HVAC equipment
- Self-starter with the ability to work independently
- Prioritize safety in all forms
Preferred Qualifications
- 1-2 years of trade school or college in a technical emphasis
