Department: Nampa Family Justice Center. Reports to: Executive Director of FJC. FLSA: Exempt. Travel required: Yes.

About the role

The Human Trafficking Task Manager operates under the supervision of the Executive Director of the Nampa Family Justice Center with considerable independence. The role requires establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with the executive director, grant partners (including Idaho State Police and local law enforcement), state prosecutors, US attorneys, victim service providers, and the public. Duties are performed in both office and field settings, with travel throughout the Treasure Valley and state as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Manages day-to-day task force activities, including administrative and operational duties.
  • Develops and expands collaborative partnerships and creates a formal MOU for the task force.
  • Works with Idaho State Police to develop a data-driven community assessment of human trafficking in the project area.
  • Establishes an internal foundation for the task force, including a mission statement, goals and objectives, leadership structure, roles and responsibilities, special committees, and decision-making structures.
  • Schedules and facilitates monthly task force meetings, creates agendas, and takes and distributes meeting notes.
  • Develops written protocols for service delivery, investigative, and prosecutorial activities and routinely monitors their implementation.
  • Creates a training module for multidisciplinary teams to equip professionals in identifying and serving all types of human trafficking survivors using a victim-centered and trauma-informed approach.
  • Schedules, coordinates, and provides ten regional trainings annually for multidisciplinary teams (law enforcement, prosecutors, victim service providers) across the state.
  • Coordinates and implements training for SANE nurses and medical professionals using national experts.
  • Develops a website and public awareness materials to support training and outreach efforts.
  • Provides ongoing training to task force members on victim-centered and trauma-informed approaches through three training events per project.
  • Plans and executes diverse approaches to improve victim identification in collaboration with Idaho State Police and task force members, utilizing trauma-informed and victim-centered investigations and prosecutions.
  • Aids in investigating, referring, and prosecuting sex and labor trafficking cases at local, state, tribal, and federal levels in conjunction with Idaho State Police and grant partners.
  • Facilitates direct victim services, including crisis response, trauma counseling, medical care, support groups, transportation, safe shelter, rental assistance, and financial assistance (e.g., food, clothing).
  • Manages data collection related to service delivery, investigations, prosecutions, and other metrics.
  • Works with the Program Manager to track data and information for documentation and grant reporting.
  • Conducts surveys of the task force to gather qualitative and quantitative data.
  • Attends meetings, conferences, workshops, and training sessions to stay current on principles, practices, and developments in human trafficking, commercial sexual exploitation, trauma, and abuse.
  • Maintains ongoing communication with the supervisor, including articulating questions or concerns.
  • Ensures all services align with the agency’s mission and goals.
  • Adheres to NFJC policies and procedures, including confidentiality and safety protocols.
  • Performs other duties as assigned by the Executive Director.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree (four-year college) required; Social Work or related field preferred.
  • Three or more years of experience in an administrative support role or equivalent combination of experience and training.

Pay

Hourly range: $23.56–$30.02.
