About the role

Under limited supervision, serves as Human Trafficking Program Coordinator, developing and presenting on human trafficking issues through sector-specific trainings and prevention education for schools, colleges/universities, and other child and youth serving organizations. Collaborates with State Task Force Subcommittee Chairs, regional task forces, and partner agencies at state and national levels.

Responsibilities

  • Identify and recruit subcommittee leadership and sector-specific members.
  • Provide technical support and assist in developing and implementing subcommittee goals.
  • Support regional task forces in building subcommittees and setting community goals.
  • Lead assigned statewide initiatives and coordinate execution across regions.
  • Record initiative details in spreadsheets to maintain accurate information.
  • Identify community stakeholders and schedule meetings to assess engagement opportunities.
  • Establish and sustain working relationships with stakeholders.
  • Attend events and respond promptly to requests for presentations and training.
  • Adapt presentations to specific contexts and audiences, providing Task Force materials as appropriate.
  • Recruit attendees to visit the website and sign up for the listserv.
  • Identify and list resources in assigned counties, sharing information for use in certifications, planning, funding requests, recruitment, and other projects.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree and relevant experience related to anti-human trafficking efforts.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills with ability to work independently.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Comfortable presenting to large groups with sound judgment and discretion.
  • Ability to collaborate with varied stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in MS Office, presentation products, and Adobe Illustrator.

  • Position may require overnight travel.
