Human Services Analyst
About the role
The Human Services Analyst role at the Department of Human Services allows you to support key programs by reviewing data, strengthening procedures, and guiding implementation. You collaborate with contractors, staff, and stakeholders to solve problems and enhance service delivery.
Responsibilities
- Program Planning: Develop plans for implementing the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program Employment and Training (SNAP E&T) and related programs
- Policy Interpretation: Interpret regulations and recommend updates to policies and procedures
- Report Preparation: Prepare and review SNAP state plans, data reports, and monitoring documents
- Contract Oversight: Guide SNAP Job Experience and Training Services (SNAP JETS) contractors and assess program performance
- Training Development: Create and present training and guidance for staff and contractors
- Data Analysis: Collect and analyze program data to make recommendations
Qualifications
- One year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs
- A bachelor’s degree
- An equivalent combination of experience and training that includes one year of professional experience developing, implementing, or evaluating human services, social services, health care services, or health care insurance programs
- You must meet the PA residency requirement
Work Schedule and Additional Information
- Full-time employment, 37.5 hours per week
- Work hours are 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch
- You may have the opportunity to work from home (telework) part-time, up to 3 days per week
- The ability to telework is subject to change at any time
