HUMAN RESOURCES SPECIALIST (LABOR REL/EMPL REL)
Duties
Help You will research regulations, laws, and policies to provide basic answers for employee benefits.
You will analyze and evaluate information for higher level Specialists for use in claims development and adjudication.
You will communicate factual and procedural information clearly and orally to higher level Specialists.
You will draft written responses to requests for information.
You will provide technical assistance and solutions.
Requirements
- Conditions of employment: Must be a US Citizen, determined suitable for federal employment, participate in the direct deposit pay program, and obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance.
- E-Verify: Within the Department of Defense (DoD), the appointment of retired military members within 180 days immediately following retirement date to a civilian position is subject to the provisions of 5 United States Code 3326. Males born after 12-31-59 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Security Clearance: You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
Qualifications
- GS-05: Your Resume Must Also Demonstrate At Least One Year Of Experience At Or Equivalent To The GS-04 Grade Level Or Pay Band In The Federal Service Or Equivalent Experience In The Private Or Public Sector. Specialized Experience Must Demonstrate The Following Strong written and verbal communication skills; Sound judgment, integrity, and attention to detail; Strong customer service and interpersonal skills; Ability to learn new systems, technology, policies, and procedures; Critical thinking and problem-solving skills; Initiative, adaptability, and a commitment to public service.
- GS-07: Your Resume Must Demonstrate At Least One Year Of Specialized Experience At Or Equivalent To The GS-05 Grade Level Or Pay Band In The Federal Service Or Equivalent Experience In The Private Or Public Sector. Specialized Experience Must Demonstrate The Following Experience performing administrative or human resources-related work, such as assisting with personnel actions, staffing activities, document preparation, records management, customer service, maintaining data, or performing similar support functions. - Education: GS-05: 4-year course of study leading to a bachelor's degree
GS-07: 1 full year of graduate level education or superior academic achievement
