About the role
The Human Resources Specialist - Journey functions within People Data Management (PDM), working cross-functionally to solve intermediate to high-level issues and complexities within relevant systems, with supervisory support when necessary. This role independently handles specialized processing of documents and materials relating to employee personnel/payroll data in Banner and related systems, ensuring compliance with university, state, and federal policies.
Responsibilities
- Review daily file maintenance reports, research, correct, and reenter rejected data to maintain data integrity in all systems.
- Test Banner HR and Employee Self Service to ensure scheduled upgrades to the production system are successful; document testing steps, processes, and outcomes.
- Address edit reports from E-print and ecuBIC to update HR data as needed for compliance.
- Provide Banner support, including EPAF and separation processing, resolving issues impacting payroll and job records.
- Process support requests in Team Dynamix and People 360 that may span multiple HR systems.
- Facilitate communication, feedback, and information with PDM procedures and processes to ensure compliance with system capabilities.
- Utilize a broad base of knowledge to determine appropriate courses of action when situations are not covered by established guidelines.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be from appropriately accredited institutions.
- Extensive knowledge of HR applications, coding, and work unit processes.
- Familiarity with university, state, and federal policies and procedures.
- Ability to work independently and handle specialized, technical tasks.
- Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis.
- Most positions require employees to live and work in North Carolina or within a reasonable daily commuting distance from their duty station after hire.
Pay
Recruitment range: $34,320 - $68,434 per year
Anticipated hiring range: $49,491 - $54,990 per year
Schedule
Full-time, Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
