Human Resources Specialist

We’re looking for a motivated HR professional in our New Jersey team who is eager to learn, take ownership, and contribute to strategic and operational HR initiatives. Working closely with HR leadership, you’ll gain broad exposure across employee relations, talent processes, compliance, HR systems, and organizational initiatives. As an HR Specialist, you’ll be a trusted partner supporting employees and managers while helping deliver efficient, compliant, and people-focused HR services.
Responsibilities
- Support the planning and coordination of talent management processes, including performance management, talent reviews, succession planning, career development, and leadership development initiatives.
- Coordinate learning and development programs, manage training logistics and communications, support learning technologies, and help evaluate the effectiveness of development initiatives while fostering a culture of continuous learning.
- Partner and support employee experience initiatives across the employee lifecycle, including orientation, engagement, recognition, wellness, culture-building, and change management programs.
- Develop and maintain HR dashboards, talent metrics, and workforce analytics that provide insights into employee engagement, learning effectiveness, and organizational capability, enabling data-driven decision-making.
- Coordinate employee communications, recognition programs, and HR campaigns that promote a positive and engaging workplace culture.
- Support the execution of enterprise HR initiatives, special projects, and organizational change efforts while ensuring timely delivery, stakeholder collaboration, and effective communication.
- Identify opportunities to streamline HR processes, leverage technology, and introduce innovative solutions that improve efficiency and enhance the employee experience.
- Stay informed of emerging HR trends, learning technologies, AI-enabled solutions, and best practices to continuously evolve people programs and support organizational success.
- Manage employee relations and leave administration, as well as HR compliance related to HR operations, state, and federal requirements.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related field.
- SHRM-CP or PHR certification.
- 3–5 years’ experience relevant to the responsibilities listed above.
- Experience in pharmaceutical, life sciences, or a regulated industry.
- Working knowledge of ADP, SuccessFactors, or similar HRIS platforms; advanced MS Excel; MS Copilot.
- Demonstrated problem-solving, teamwork, communication, collaboration, and analytical skills.
- Experience handling sensitive, confidential information.
- Strong empathy and interpersonal skills.
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
Work is performed in an office environment.
Pay
The anticipated annual base salary range for this position in New Jersey is $70,000 to $90,000, plus a discretionary performance bonus (based upon eligibility). The final salary offered to a successful candidate may vary and will be dependent on several factors, including the type and length of experience within the job and industry, skillset, education, and business needs.
