About the role
This position oversees and provides day-to-day management, support, and reporting for the HRIS system, facilitates payroll activities, and ensures compliance with HR policies and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Maintain knowledge of legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resources functions and ensure policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Administer weekly payroll consistently and correctly, rectifying any payroll and Kronos issues.
- Respond to inquiries regarding HRIS and payroll policies, procedures, and programs.
- Track, maintain, and complete HRIS reporting regarding tax credits, bonuses, hourly wages, headcount, and turnover.
- Administer and manage the Workers Compensation program.
- Assist VP of HR with projects and maintain confidentiality.
- Review, update, and have access to employee compensation within the organization.
- Adhere to safety policies and procedures, and produce products in compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices and Safe Quality Food Program standards.
- Perform other responsibilities as assigned by the manager.
Requirements
- Associate’s degree or commensurate experience.
- 2+ years of HR experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and SAP.
- General understanding of manufacturing processes.
- Ability to make sound, independent decisions based on management expertise and experience.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks, troubleshoot, and problem-solve.
Preferred Qualifications
- HRIS certification.
- Payroll certification.
Working Conditions
Work is primarily performed in an office setting with occasional exposure to industrial operations, including:
- Temperature extremes from approximately 35°F to 100°F.
- Noise levels in excess of 85 dB.
- Moisture and moving machinery.
