Human Resources Specialist
About the role
The Human Resources Specialist supports Chickasaw Nation Industries, Inc., a holding company with various subsidiaries serving the federal government and commercial enterprises. The position is essential for maintaining compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws.
Responsibilities
- Processes HR transactions and maintains employee records
- Prepares and reviews recruitment materials and coordinates interviews
- Supports recruitment actions and ensures regulatory compliance
- Facilitates the onboarding process and manages new-hire paperwork
- Addresses routine employee questions and escalates complex issues
- Utilizes HR information systems to input, retrieve, and compile data
- Prepares HR metrics and reports for leadership decision-making
- Supports benefits enrollment and resolves employee benefit issues
- Coordinates logistics for training sessions and develops training materials
- Communicates and implements HR policies and procedures across the organization
- Manages HR calendars and schedules meetings
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust Security Access
- U.S. Citizenship only due to government requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent and at least 5 years of relevant experience in HR
- Active and current DEU certification
Qualifications
Thorough knowledge of automated HR/personnel systems such as USA Staffing, eOPF, and the National Finance Center systems. Excellent communication skills, both oral and written. Physical demands include sitting, reaching, handling objects, operating tools, computers, and controls; occasional lifting up to 25 pounds.

Pay
The estimated pay range for this role is $70K to $77K, with the final offer contingent on location, skillset, and experience.
Schedule
Work is primarily performed in an office environment. Regularly required to sit, use hands to finger, handle, or feel, reach with hands and arms, speak and hear, occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and expose to general office noise with computers, printers, and light traffic.
