About the role

The Human Resources Specialist will handle and provide support for various HR employee programs within the organization.

Responsibilities

  • Maintains personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Keeps employee records up to date by processing employee status changes in Workday in a timely fashion.
  • Maintains listing of approved hires and tracks terminations with proper communication.
  • Develops and distributes various reports.
  • Effectively communicates with internal employees and managers regarding Human Resources processes.
  • Demonstrates a strong understanding of Cambria's benefits and answers employee questions.
  • Files forms in personnel files, distributes mail, and assists with unemployment claims.
  • Participates in meetings and assists in improving processes.
  • Handles ad hoc projects assigned based on business needs.
  • Escalates issues to the Human Resources Director when necessary.
  • Maintains a positive, solution-focused demeanor when responding to conflicts or problems.

Requirements

  • High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documentation.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
  • Attention to detail in composing, typing, proofing materials, establishing priorities, and meeting deadlines.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality and sense of urgency.
  • Excellent customer relations skills, with the ability to relate effectively and sensitively.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a desire to partner with key stakeholders to improve processes.
  • Positive and self-motivated individual who can work independently.
  • Basic knowledge of employment laws.

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate’s Degree required, Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Experience: 0-3 years in Human Resources.
  • Systems: Strong computer proficiency, knowledge of Microsoft Office (Excel), Google Suite, and Workday experience preferred.

Physical Requirements

  • Office position requiring telephone and computer use.
  • Able to lift up to 20 pounds occasionally (office supplies, packages, samples).
  • May need to bend, reach, walk, or stoop occasionally.
  • Prolonged periods sitting and/or standing at a desk and working on a computer.

Minimal travel between local Cambria locations.

Pay

Cambria’s starting hourly range for this position is $25.00-$33.00/hour. Hourly ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed reflects the target for new hires. Individual pay is determined by several factors, including work location, job-related experience, and relevant education and/or training.
