About the Role

In this position, you will serve as a senior Human Resources Specialist performing duties of administering a variety of civilian personnel programs for the Civilian Personnel Flight (FSC). You will provide a wide range of management advisory services regarding pre-employment, environmental differential pay/hazardous duty pay, community outreach, special hiring authorities, recruitment and retention, Voluntary Early Retirement Authority, Voluntary Separation Incentive Pay, and Reduction in Force. You will monitor an assigned segment of activities within the Force Support Squadron (FSS) mission and functional responsibility.

Responsibilities

  • Resolve complex HR problems using advanced federal human resources management (HRM) principles, concepts, and practices.
  • Apply knowledge of federal HR laws, executive orders, regulations, policies, and directives governing HR functions such as merit promotion, recruitment, and placement.
  • Advise management on controversial, complex, and sensitive Human Resource matters across a wide variety of Civilian Personnel programs.
  • Conduct reviews and analyze HR program operations to identify deficiencies, measure compliance, consistency, and effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships through strong oral and written communication.

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Obtain and maintain a Security clearance
  • May be required to travel on military and commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty
  • May be required to work extended or other than normal duty hours
  • Must safeguard personal data in accordance with the Privacy Act of 1974

Qualifications

  • Advanced knowledge of federal human resources management principles, concepts, and practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of federal HR laws, executive orders, regulations, and policies.
  • Knowledge of organizational structures, missions, objectives, and administrative/protocol policies.
  • Advanced skill in advising management on complex and sensitive HR matters.
  • Ability to analyze HR program operations and recommend enhancements.
  • Strong oral and written communication skills.

Pay

2026 Salary Range: $89,508–$138,370 yearly
