About the Role
The Human Resources Coordinator provides administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department by maintaining employee records, coordinating HR processes, assisting with recruitment activities, responding to employee inquiries, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures. This role plays a key part in supporting daily HR operations while maintaining confidentiality and delivering excellent internal customer service.
Location: Truckee, California (Onsite)
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain employee personnel files and HR documentation.
- Create and organize filing systems for employee records.
- Ensure employee records remain accurate, complete, and confidential.
- Prepare and maintain HR correspondence and documentation.
- Support daily administrative operations within the Human Resources department.
- Assist candidates with employment application procedures.
- Create and maintain personnel files for new employees.
- Prepare onboarding documentation and employment records.
- Maintain a clean, accessible application area for prospective candidates.
- Support recruitment and onboarding activities as assigned.
- Respond to employee and management questions regarding HR policies and programs.
- Provide information on company procedures and Human Resources guidelines.
- Escalate employee relations concerns to Human Resources management when appropriate.
- Maintain positive working relationships across departments.
- Support a respectful and inclusive workplace culture.
- Answer telephone calls, route messages, and respond professionally to inquiries.
- Distribute incoming mail and manage outgoing correspondence.
- Order and maintain Human Resources office supplies and forms.
- Prepare reports, letters, and other business documents.
- Coordinate administrative tasks to ensure smooth HR operations.
- Maintain confidential employee records, including employment documentation and I-9 forms.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and applicable employment regulations.
- Protect confidential employee and organizational information.
- Support HR audits by maintaining organized and accurate documentation.
- Follow organizational standards for recordkeeping and document security.
- Collaborate with managers and employees to support Human Resources initiatives.
- Promote company policies, procedures, and quality standards.
- Support departmental goals through effective communication and teamwork.
- Assist with additional HR projects and administrative assignments as needed.

Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- At least one year of related Human Resources or administrative experience.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and computer-based office systems.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
