About the role
This position supports the Human Resources department in executing full-cycle recruiting and onboarding activities for staff and adjunct faculty across the institution.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end adjunct faculty recruiting across all colleges, including posting positions, sourcing candidates, screening applicants, and coordinating with department/program chairs.
- Facilitate adjunct onboarding processes including collection and review of required documentation, communication to program chairs and reporting.
- Conduct and process I-9 employment eligibility verifications for all adjunct hires in compliance with federal regulations.
- Administer and maintain the Professional Adjunct Lecturer (PAL) program, tracking records, managing communications, and ensuring timely processing of PAL-related HR transactions.
- Coordinate full-cycle staff recruiting for assigned departments. Post open positions to the applicant tracking system (ATS) and relevant external job boards; source candidates, manage applicant workflows, and ensure timely status updates.
- Schedule and coordinate interviews, communicate with candidates throughout the selection process, conduct background and reference checks, and prepare offers.
- Facilitate HR onboarding for newly hired staff, including coordination of pre-employment requirements, orientation scheduling, and benefits enrollment support.
- Enter and maintain accurate employee and applicant data in Banner (Ellucian) and the ATS, ensuring data integrity and timely updates throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Generate standard and ad hoc HR reports to support recruiting metrics, compliance tracking, and department planning.
- Maintain and organize a systematic HR filing system, ensuring all physical and electronic employee records are accurate, current, and securely stored in accordance with retention policies.
- Monitor and respond to inquiries submitted through the HR inbox, triaging requests and escalating complex matters to the appropriate HR team member in a timely manner.
- Process employment verification requests and Public Service Loan Forgiveness (PSLF) certifications accurately and within established timelines.
- Care for departmental flower orders and donation contributions for employee life events such as bereavements, illnesses, and celebrations.
- Manage HR office supply inventory, placing orders as needed to ensure adequate stock and tracking expenditures.
- Perform additional administrative and HR support duties as assigned by HR Department Leadership.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree (preferred), or equivalent mix of experience and education (High school diploma or GED and 5 years of experience, or Associate’s degree and 3 years of experience, directly related to the duties and responsibilities specified)
- Minimum of one year of experience working in Human Resources, Recruiting or related field
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with candidates, employees, faculty, and institutional stakeholders.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook); comfort learning and working within HR and Applicant technology systems (i.e. iCIMS, Banner, Taleo, Workday, etc.).
- Flexibility and ability to adapt to change, ambiguity and shifting priorities.
- Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to reach well-reasoned conclusions based on evidence.

Compensation decisions are dependent upon the facts and circumstances of each position and candidate.
