About the Role

The Human Resources Manager role provides human resources field support within the Technical Operations (TechOps) division at Delta Air Lines, Inc. This position acts as a strategic business partner for clients throughout the United States, ensuring effective and consistent delivery of HR services. The role is based in Atlanta, GA and supports a 24/7 operation with multiple locations, requiring travel.

Responsibilities

  • Anticipate and meet client needs
  • Execute service delivery systems and create integrated solutions to business problems or issues
  • Act as an employee and company advocate, balancing decision-making appropriately
  • Develop relationships with individuals, employee groups, and business leaders to communicate company policies, programs, and procedures
  • Provide leadership around organizational change, process consultation, and organizational development
  • Impart HR expertise to management personnel and influence clients based on company policy and applicable laws
  • Serve as project lead/representative for corporate projects, managing timelines and working with cross-divisional teams
  • Develop strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment, ensuring employee safety and well-being

Requirements

  • 5-10 years of HR Manager experience supporting a business unit (or equivalent years of experience)
  • General knowledge of HR disciplines with technical competence in at least three of the following: compensation, benefits, employment, employee/labor relations, training/development, EEO, or organizational development
  • Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including overnight travel
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and a strong management presence
  • Effective platform/presentation skills and successful problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and think strategically
  • Ability to lead and influence decision-making, build and maintain effective relationships, and balance multiple priorities under pressure
  • High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency
  • At least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States
  • Must have received or be willing to receive the COVID-19 vaccine by date of hire
  • Consistently prioritize safety and security of self, others, and personal data
  • Embrace diverse people, thinking, and styles

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business management, or a related field
  • PHR/SPHR certification
  • Previous management/supervisory experience
  • Experience with HR support for an operational division in aviation, manufacturing, or related industries
