About the Role
The Human Resources Manager role is responsible for human resources field support for an assigned client group at Delta Air Lines, Inc. The HR Manager acts as a strategic business partner for clients throughout the United States, ensuring the effective and consistent delivery of human resources services. This position supports the In-Flight Service Division and is based in Atlanta, GA at the airport.
Responsibilities
- Impart HR expertise to management personnel and influence clients based on company policy, focusing on positive employee relations and applicable laws.
- Serve as project lead/representative for corporate projects, managing timelines, and working with cross-divisional teams.
- Develop strategic and tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in employee safety and well-being.
- Develop relationships with individuals, employee groups, and business leaders to communicate company policies, programs, and procedures.
- Provide leadership around organizational change, process consultation, and organizational development.
- Anticipate and meet client needs, execute service delivery systems, and create integrated solutions to business problems or issues.
- Act as an employee and company advocate, balancing decision-making appropriately.
- Support employees in a 24/7 operation with multiple locations, requiring travel.
Requirements
- 5-10 years of HR Manager experience supporting a business unit (or equivalent years of experience).
- General knowledge of all HR disciplines and specific technical competence in at least three of the following: compensation, benefits, employment, employee/labor relations, training/development, EEO, and organizational development.
- Ability to travel up to 40% of the time, including some overnight travel.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, strong analytical skills, and a strong management presence.
- Effective platform/presentation skills and successful problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work well independently with minimal supervision.
- Strategic thinking, leadership, and influence in decision-making.
- Ability to build and maintain effective relationships.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities, work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
- High school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
- At least 18 years of age with authorization to work in the United States.
- Consistent prioritization of safety and security for self, others, and personal data.

Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in human resources management, business management, or a related field.
- PHR/SPHR certification.
- Previous management/supervisory experience.
