Job Summary

The Duty Manager is responsible for ensuring the daily airport operation runs in a safe, efficient, and cost-effective manner. The Duty Manager will oversee and coordinate team activities to create a safe, reliable, efficient, and effective operation.

Job Duties

• Supervises and coordinates team activities related to the operation.
• Counsels and mentors employees, including issuing disciplinary action as required.
• Aids in recruiting, administrative, payroll, employee scheduling, and general administrative duties.
• Maintains staffing and overtime use and monitors operational and financial performance of the assigned station.
• Promotes team-building initiatives to develop and motivate team members.
• Performs work in a safe and secure manner, following company safety and operational standards.
• Immediately reports safety and security incidents as well as potential hazards in line with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
• Performs other related duties as assigned within the appropriate skill, experience, and capabilities expected for this position.

Qualifications

• High School diploma, GED or equivalent education.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must possess a valid Driver's License.
• Must be able to obtain credentials required as per airport or state or customs requirements.
• Supervisory experience is required.
• Preferred qualifications: Two years of relevant work experience in the aviation or ground handling services industry.

Physical Requirements

• Must be able to frequently push, pull, stoop, squat, kneel, bend, lift up to 70lbs and move up to 70lbs;
• Constantly walk, stand, handle, grasp and reach out.
• May have to reach above shoulder occasionally.
