About the role
Lead airport operations when it matters most. You'll take ownership of day-to-day performance, operational decision-making and customer outcomes. Drive airport performance and operational excellence. Lead continuous improvement initiatives and influence meaningful outcomes across the airport operation. Develop high-performing teams and a one-team culture. Coach, support and inspire people while fostering a safe, collaborative and customer-focused environment. Permanent full-time position based in Los Angeles - $78,000 - $88,000 USD per annum
Responsibilities
- Lead the day-to-day airport operation across both above and below wing functions, ensuring safe, efficient and customer-focused outcomes.
- Act as the senior operational leader on shift, driving airport performance, leading teams through dynamic operational challenges and playing a key role in delivering exceptional customer experiences while maintaining the highest standards of safety, security and regulatory compliance.
- Shape operational excellence across the airport, driving continuous improvement, leading transformational initiatives and fostering a high-performing one-team culture.
- Work closely with a broad range of internal and external stakeholders, influencing operational outcomes, strengthening organizational capability and contributing to the achievement of key financial, operational and safety objectives.
Requirements
- Demonstrated leadership experience in a complex operational environment with responsibility for people, safety and performance outcomes.
- A strong understanding of airport operations with a previous background within aviation.
- Proven experience leading and developing teams, driving engagement, accountability and performance.
- Strong operational judgement and the ability to make sound decisions under pressure while balancing customer, operational and commercial outcomes.
- A demonstrated commitment to safety leadership, regulatory compliance and continuous improvement.
- Strong stakeholder management, communication and relationship-building skills.
- A proven track record of achieving operational KPIs and delivering business outcomes.
