Human Resources Management Specialist
About the role
The Human Resources Management Specialist supports the people, systems, and operations that keep Oklahoma ready for emergencies and disasters. This role is located in the Will Rogers Memorial Building in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma.
Responsibilities
- Administer day-to-day human resources operations supporting employees throughout the employment lifecycle.
- Administer employee benefits, leave programs, payroll coordination, and related human resources processes.
- Career support and human resources customer service.
- Support organizational development initiatives, policy implementation, workforce planning, training programs, classification studies, performance management, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Provide administrative and personnel support during emergency operations and agency activations.
Requirements
- Education and experience requirements: Bachelor’s degree; or four years of technical human resources management experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Knowledge: Human resources administration and personnel management principles, Oklahoma Personnel Act and Civil Service & Human Capital Modernization Act Rules, state and federal employment laws, recruitment, onboarding, employee records, benefits, leave administration, and personnel transactions, records management and confidentiality requirements, Microsoft Office and HR information systems, business communication practices.
- Skills: Customer service and employee support, personnel records administration, HR systems administration, recruitment coordination, payroll and leave administration, organization and time management, written and verbal communication.
- Physical requirements: Ability to remain seated for extended periods while performing computer-based work, operate computers, telephones, and standard office equipment, communicate effectively in person, virtually, and in writing, occasionally move files, records, and office materials, occasional extended work hours may be required to meet deadlines, respond to urgent personnel matters, or support agency operations.

Schedule
Full-time, regular position governed by the Oklahoma Civil Service system and subject to the Civil Service and Human Capital Modernization Act.
Pay
The annual salary for this position is up to $60,000.00, based on education and experience.
