Human Resources Intern

About the role

At National Cart Company (NCC), we are seeking an HR Intern to join our dynamic team. This role offers a unique opportunity to gain insights across all HR functions under the guidance of the HR Director.

Responsibilities

• Affords assistance with Associate orientation, development, training logistics, and recordkeeping.
• Assists with paperwork involved in new hire orientation and termination.
• Maintains associate files in the Human Resources Department.
• Supports the implementation and tracking of company health and safety programs.
• Assists with benefit orientation.
• Participates in recruiting efforts.
• Assists with employee engagement activities such as touch base program and employee recognition.

Requirements

• Currently attending college/university to obtain a human resources degree or related field.
• Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• General knowledge of various employment laws.
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems in a timely manner.
• Attention to detail in gathering and analyzing information.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
