Job Summary
The HR Intern provides support to the Human Resources team reporting directly to the HR Generalist. This role involves a wide range of responsibilities related to recruitment, project support, and administrative support within the HR department.
Essential Duties & Functions
- Aid in coordinating phone screens, background checks, new hire reporting, and separation documentation
- Prepare presentations, meeting materials, and project documentation in collaboration with HR project leads
- Communicate with team members to gather information and provide project updates as needed
- Coordinate employee onboarding and offboarding, including documentation, system access, and communication
- Provide general administrative support to the HR team, inputting and pulling training reports, inputting data/payroll adjustments, and maintaining HR documentation
- Partners with HR team on communication projects
- Assist with internal and external communications
- Document new procedures and update existing procedures as needed
- Support recruitment activities for salary positions
- Aid in Talent Campaign deployment with HR Generalist support
Qualifications
- Currently pursuing a degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
- Knowledge of Human Resources principles and procedures
- Knowledge of computer software such as MS Office Word, Excel, PowerPoint and the ability to quickly learn and navigate other computer systems
- Ability to operate standard office equipment
- Attention to detail & strong problem-solving skills
- Strong sense of integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality in all situations
- Strong sense of urgency and flexibility
- Excellent communication skills, both verbally and written, in English
