About the role
This HR internship is located at IBM’s headquarters in Armonk, NY, running from June 1, 2027, through August 13, 2027. As an HR intern, you’ll contribute to transformative change in service of IBM employees and clients, working on projects across key functional areas:
- Talent (including Performance, Leadership, and Talent Management)
- Talent Acquisition
- HR Services (including HR Technology and Payroll)
- Compensation, Benefits, and Recognition
- HR Partner
Your work may include data analysis, design thinking, communication, program design and development, research, problem analysis, and solution implementation. Technology is core to our success, and we leverage AI to accelerate outcomes and create best-in-class experiences for IBMers. During your internship, you’ll learn new skills, tackle challenges, and collaborate with talented HR professionals globally.
If granted a full-time offer after successfully completing this internship, you must be willing to relocate to one of IBM’s HR Hubs: Armonk, NY, or Raleigh, NC.
Responsibilities
- Conduct data analysis and leverage design thinking to solve HR challenges
- Design and develop HR programs and initiatives
- Perform research, problem analysis, and summarize findings to make data-driven recommendations
- Collaborate with global HR teams to implement solutions
- Utilize Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and basic analytics tools
Requirements
- Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong time management and ability to prioritize competing demands
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a dynamic environment
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
- Basic knowledge of analytics and data analysis
- Ability to conduct independent research and summarize findings effectively
