Responsibilities
- Evaluate employee leave submissions and supporting records to determine eligibility and assign the correct leave designation.
- Track active leave cases, monitor timelines, and follow up on return-to-work dates and outstanding documentation.
- Maintain complete and well-organized employee files in alignment with legal standards and internal policy requirements.
- Review leave administration data and payroll activity to identify discrepancies and support accurate processing.
- Conduct routine audits of records and transactions to help ensure compliance with applicable regulations and company procedures.
- Assist with payroll administration tasks related to employee absences, protected leaves, and timekeeping accuracy.
- Communicate professionally with employees and internal stakeholders regarding leave status, required paperwork, and next steps.
Requirements
- Experience supporting human resources functions with a strong emphasis on leave administration and payroll coordination.
- Working knowledge of protected leave programs, workers’ compensation processes, and accommodation-related documentation.
- Familiarity with Massachusetts labor requirements and relevant federal employment regulations.
- Strong recordkeeping skills with careful attention to detail and accuracy in confidential files.
- Ability to use computer systems efficiently for data entry, tracking, and documentation management.
- Detail-oriented communication skills and a courteous approach when assisting employees and internal teams.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and maintain organized departmental records.
Qualifications
