About the role
We are looking for an experienced Human Resources Generalist to support a dynamic and growing organization. This on-site role is ideal for a hands-on HR specialist who can balance day-to-day employee support with core operational responsibilities across payroll, benefits, recruiting, and compliance. The position offers the opportunity to influence workplace culture, strengthen HR processes, and help build a positive employee experience across the business.
Responsibilities
- Manage end-to-end payroll activities with accuracy and timeliness using ADP WorkForce Now, including processing, record upkeep, and distribution of payroll information.
- Coordinate employee benefits administration by working with providers, reviewing billing, and responding to team member questions regarding available programs.
- Monitor HR practices to ensure alignment with applicable federal, state, and local employment regulations as well as internal policies.
- Work closely with hiring managers to support talent acquisition efforts, including posting roles, screening candidates, and guiding new hires through onboarding.
- Deliver and coordinate employee training initiatives while helping maintain required compliance-related learning programs.
- Act as a primary HR contact for employee concerns by providing guidance on workplace policies, resolving issues, and promoting positive employee relations.
- Maintain accurate and confidential personnel records, job documentation, and performance-related files within the HRIS.
- Support performance management and retention efforts by helping implement practical HR programs and best practices that strengthen employee engagement.
- Contribute to internal communication and culture-focused initiatives, while assisting with special HR projects and other assigned duties as business needs evolve.
Requirements
- At least 3 years of experience in a human resources generalist or similar HR position.
- Practical experience with ADP WorkForce Now for payroll processing is required.
- Working knowledge of employee relations, onboarding, benefits administration, and HR information systems.
- Understanding of employment law and standard HR compliance practices across multiple functional areas.
- Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office and comfort using collaboration tools such as Teams or Zoom.
- Clear communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust across different levels of the organization.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities, work independently, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
- HR certification is a plus.
