Human Resources (HR) Director

About the role

A growing and highly respected organization is seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to lead all aspects of HR strategy and operations. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for driving talent acquisition, employee relations, compliance, performance management, benefits, compensation, training, and organizational development initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Partner with executive leadership on HR strategy, workforce planning, employee engagement, and retention initiatives

• Oversee employee relations, investigations, disciplinary matters, and conflict resolution

• Lead recruiting, onboarding, and talent management efforts

• Administer compensation, benefits, leave programs, and performance management processes

• Develop and implement HR policies, procedures, and training programs

• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local employment laws

• Promote a positive workplace culture and support organizational growth initiatives

• Facilitate professional development and employee training programs

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required

• Insurance industry experience required

• Progressive HR leadership experience with broad exposure to employee relations, compliance, talent acquisition, compensation, and benefits

• Experience conducting investigations and coaching managers through complex employee matters

• Strong knowledge of employment laws and HR best practices

• ADP Workforce Now and ADP Payroll experience strongly preferred

• PHR, SHRM-CP, or SHRM-SCP certification preferred

• Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills
