We are seeking an experienced Human Resources Director to support a medical devices organization in Hillsboro, Oregon, through a long-term contract engagement. This role will lead HR due diligence activities for merger and acquisition initiatives, coordinating complex information flows, assessing employment-related risks, and keeping critical workstreams on track in a fast-moving environment.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end HR due diligence efforts for mergers and acquisitions, ensuring employment-related matters are reviewed thoroughly from initial assessment through final deliverables.
  • Assemble, validate, and maintain diligence materials, including supporting records and organized documentation needed for internal stakeholders and transaction partners.
  • Evaluate HR compliance, compensation, benefits, employee relations, and administrative practices to identify potential risks, gaps, and follow-up actions tied to acquisition activity.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams and external parties to gather information from multiple sources, track progress, and keep milestones moving despite shifting timelines.
  • Provide informed review of international employment considerations, including transaction-related labor questions and country-specific workforce issues such as French employment law matters.
  • Apply strong project management practices to oversee large volumes of sensitive data, prioritize requests, and deliver accurate outputs under changing conditions.
  • Partner with business and HR leaders on acquisition management and integration planning, helping translate diligence findings into actionable people-related recommendations.
  • Support HR processes within systems such as Workday and contribute to operational execution with a hands-on, detail-focused approach.
  • Adapt quickly to evolving priorities while maintaining organization, responsiveness, and momentum throughout the transaction lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Proven experience leading HR due diligence for mergers and acquisitions from kickoff through completion.
  • Strong background in employee relations, HR administration, compensation and benefits, and HR compliance.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage acquisition-related projects involving multiple stakeholders, large document sets, and compressed or unpredictable deadlines.
  • Experience preparing structured diligence files and supporting documentation with a high degree of accuracy and organization.
  • Knowledge of international transaction considerations, with particular value placed on familiarity with French labor and employment topics.
  • Hands-on working style with the ability to operate effectively in both strategic and detailed execution-oriented responsibilities.
  • Preferred experience using Workday, ideally within a similarly complex or regulated business environment.
  • Ability to work through ambiguity, adjust priorities quickly, and maintain quality in a fast-paced setting.

Benefits

  • Medical, vision, dental, and life and disability insurance.
  • Eligibility to enroll in the company 401(k) plan.
