About the role
As Director of Human Resources, you will be essential to HR and strategic planning processes. This role will be heavily engaged with both the direct team and outsourced HR providers, ensuring talent acquisition, performance management systems, and incentive compensation systems are effectively deployed throughout the North America organization. This leader will partner with each of the operating managers to drive a positive company culture. The ideal candidate will be strategic, business-focused, and hands-on.
Responsibilities
- Develop, update, and implement Human Resources Handbook, policies, and procedures.
- Support strategic business objectives and future acquisitions.
- Lead talent acquisition, labor planning, hiring process, and negotiation of employment agreements for both full-time employees and third-party temporary staffing employees.
- Deliver effective strategic HR initiatives to drive employee performance and engagement.
- Administer HR programs with third-party vendors (payroll, 401K, and employee benefit plans).
- Maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment and benefits laws/regulations including, but not limited to, ERISA and EEO regulations.
- Develop, implement, and manage a formal annual performance management process that aligns employee targets and compensation with strategic and operative objectives.
- Manage incentive plans and understand Executive Compensation plans to ensure calculation and processing.
- Maintain company organizational charts and the employee directory.
- Develop, implement, and manage training programs to support employee development and growth.
- Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to continually improve department efficiency.
- Maintain HR information system records and compile reports using HR and payroll services.
- Work closely with hiring managers to ensure strong talent sourcing strategies are in place for efficient and effective talent sourcing through the Applicant Tracking System.
- Work closely with key leaders to develop frameworks to identify and monitor high-potential employees in collaboration with the HR Business Partner.
- Lead HR strategy and budget.
- Partner with Safety to ensure best-in-class safety and training programs.
- Other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- Minimum of ten years’ experience in Human Resources.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources Management or equivalent.
- In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and local labor regulations and HR practices.
- Manufacturing experience; food and beverage industry preferred.
- Previous experience working in Private Equity preferred.
- M&A experience preferred.
Skills
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, both verbal and written, to interact knowledgeably with and impact both internal and external parties.
- Ability to speak Spanish preferred.
- Demonstrated business acumen by synthesizing and analyzing information effectively.

- Superior project management ability and drive-for-results mentality.
- Keen ability to think and act strategically, planning for the long-term while balancing short and long-range needs of the organization.

- Detail-oriented with strong follow-through.
- SHRM, SHPR, or PHR certification preferred.
