About the role

The Human Resource Generalist serves as a Business Partner to operational counterparts while directly guiding team members and other members of leadership. Reporting directly to the Human Resource Manager, the Human Resource Generalist translates human capital effects to support our goals like change projects, building talent, engaging team members, enhancing culture and finally improving performance.

Responsibilities

  • Facilitate programs and implement process improvements within Human Resources and across the Distribution Center.
  • Handle all ongoing people-related projects.
  • Implement Human Resources policies, procedures, and programs, which support our strategy.
  • Identify ways to improve resources to provide efficient structure to our organization.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal and State legislation related to all human resources matters.
  • Manage vendors to administer employee programs.
  • Help with the implementation and administration of communications plans.
  • Help administer the workers compensation program for the facility.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree BA/BS or equivalent required.
  • 5+ years of experience in related field required.
  • A degree in Human Resources, related field or equivalent progressive experience.
  • Working knowledge of Human Resource practices with expertise in staffing, new hire orientation and onboarding.
  • Experience solving human resources issues.
  • Manage confidential information.
  • Diagnose problems, develop alternative solutions, and recommend and implement a course of action.
  • Proficiency in systems, Excel (can maintain complex spreadsheets), Word, Publisher and PowerPoint and Outlook.

Pay

The anticipated base pay compensation range for this position is $73,400.00 – $122,300.00. This role is eligible for an incentive target of up to 5 % or $ , based on the achievement of individual and company performance objectives in accordance with the current terms of the incentive program which are subject to change.

Schedule

Grainger offers flexibility to work four ten-hour shifts weekly supporting the evening shift operations Sunday through Thursday.
