ESSENTIAL DUTIES OF THE POSITION
- Maintains system to track employee attendance and disciplinary actions.
- Reviews shift reports to identify personnel actions for tracking and follow up.
- Provides information to the Deputy Director of Human Services, managers, and staff on a variety of issues related to employee attendance and discipline as it relates to Union contracts, County policies, and work rules.
- Provides overall support to Gracedale Human Resources Department.
- Cross trains with other staff to learn relevant systems and processes, and possesses ability to serve as back up for other team members.
- May assist the Deputy Director of Human Services with low-level disciplines including obtaining Union representatives, reviewing employee schedules, and delivering attendance and late disciplines.
REQUIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education & Experience: Graduation from an accredited college or university with an Associate's degree; **AND** At least three (3) years of full-time advanced clerical work involving the use of Excel and a familiarity with Kronos, UKG, or other attendance tracking software; **OR** At least three (3) years of full-time work experience in Human Resources with a focus on attendance tracking and delivering disciplines.
- Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Ability to understand Excel and maintain multiple spreadsheets. Knowledge of goals, objectives, principles, and practices of public human resources management. Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office. Familiarity with Kronos (or other attendance tracking programs) and scheduling software. Thorough knowledge of proper records management, retention of records, and cataloguing of files. Ability to handle stressful situations. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. Strong organizational and problem-solving skills. Ability to establish credibility and be decisive. Ability to learn State and Federal labor laws and regulations, as well as the ability to learn specific rules and regulations governing human resources administration in the County. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with employees, supervisors, and other staff. Ability to read, write, speak, understand, and communicate in English to perform the duties of this position.

- Telephone, personal computer (including word processing and spreadsheet software), calculator, writing implements, fax machine, copy machine, and paper shredder.

- Wh while performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to walk, sit, talk, or hear. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to twenty-five (25) pounds.
