Essential Functions

  • Maintains employee records, ensuring completion and accuracy of details such as employee contact information, job classification, organizational structure, and other key details.
  • Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
  • Reviews applications for entry-level and non-exempt positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.
  • Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
  • Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
  • Helps plan and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
  • Administers the company Care Connection program.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment and routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, and photocopiers.

Physical Demands

The physical demands described here represent those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. As a part of their job responsibilities, the employee may need to stand, walk, sit, use their hands to manipulate objects, tools, or controls, reach with their hands and arms, climb stairs, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate with others verbally or through listening. The employee must occasionally lift or move up to 25 pounds.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.

Travel

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Required Education and Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent HR experience. - Three years of human resources experience is highly preferred.
